FAQs

What should I book first? (First Visit — Wellness Stretching)

Your first session begins with a personalized wellness stretching assessment. We'll explore your goals, identify areas of tightness or discomfort, and begin hands-on work right away. This helps us understand how your body moves so we can design a plan that reduces pain, increases mobility, and supports your daily life. During this visit, we can perform a full routine for the mid/upper back, neck, and shoulders, or focus directly on any specific concerns you want addressed.

What can I expect from wellness stretching?

Wellness stretching blends therapeutic movement, gentle mobility work, and targeted hands-on techniques to help you feel lighter, move smoother, and release deep tension. Many clients feel taller, looser, and more coordinated—even after the first visit. Each session is designed to help you feel and function better immediately while building long-term improvement.

How does Feel Better ATL collaborate with clients?

We work together as a team. You bring your goals, daily challenges, and lifestyle needs; I bring my clinical background, hands-on expertise, and 25 years of movement experience. Each session is a conversation—your feedback guides the techniques, intensity, and direction of the work so we can create the most meaningful improvements for you. During this process, we will also determine the most appropriate path for you, whether that is wellness-based care or Physical Therapy.

How often should I book a session?

Your ideal session frequency depends on your goals, your current needs, and how quickly you want to progress. Here is a simple breakdown to guide you:

3x per week — Short-term intensive:

Ideal for rapid progress or targeted mobility and recovery needs.

2x per week — Structural or deeper recovery needs:

Best for ongoing tightness, restricted movement, or consistent pain patterns.

Ix per week — Steady progress:

Great for busy individuals who want continuous mobility improvement.

2x per month — Ongoing support:

Helps maintain gains, reduce stiffness, and keep the body moving well.

Ix per month — Maintenance:

A long-term strategy to stay flexible, manage stress, and prevent future issues.

What can I expect during my second visit?

Your second session builds on your first. We review how your body responded, refine the techniques, and begin addressing deeper patterns of tightness or movement limitations. This is where lasting change becomes more noticeable—better movement, less discomfort, and a clearer understanding of what your body needs.

What happens when we meet or exceed the goals?

Once you reach your goals—less pain, better movement, improved function—we shift into a maintenance plan that helps you stay ahead of stress, stiffness, and future issues. You continue feeling your best while enjoying work, family life, travel, and exercise with greater ease and confidence.

Can I book an appointment if I have pain or injury?

Yes. If you're dealing with pain, stiffness, or mild injury, we can modify your session to support recovery and protect sensitive areas. If we determine that your condition requires Physical Therapy, I will guide you toward the right next steps and help you transition into the appropriate level of care.

How do I sign up for Physical Therapy services?

We prefer that your first session be a wellness visit to make sure our approach aligns with your needs and expectations. This gives us time to understand your goals, assess how your body moves, and confirm that we can genuinely help you or your loved one before moving into any structured care.

If we determine that Physical Therapy is the appropriate next step, we will communicate with your physician's office to obtain any necessary referrals or documentation. This ensures a smooth and efficient transition into a more structured rehabilitation plan if needed.

Our wellness-first approach allows us to take a proactive, client-centered path to improve mobility and well-being while making sure you receive the highest and most appropriate level of care for your situation.

Physical Therapy Services

Physical Therapy at Feel Better ATL includes a formal evaluation, a personalized rehabilitation plan of care, and treatment provided by a licensed physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. We also coordinate with your primary care physician to ensure your care is fully supported and aligned with your overall health needs.

Our Physical Therapy services focus on post-recovery care, mobility restoration, orthopedic challenges, and training designed to help you stay healthy, active, and moving well. Using evidence-based techniques, we work to reduce pain, improve joint motion, and help you function better at work, at home, and during physical activity. Most Physical Therapy plans involve a structured series of six visits or more to support consistent progress and meaningful results.

Non-Medical Physical Recovery

Non-Medical Physical Recovery is a wellness-based service designed for individuals who do not require formal healthcare treatment but still want expert mobility work, targeted stretching, and guided recovery techniques. This service helps improve movement, reduce tightness, and enhance overall physical function while remaining outside the scope of healthcare treatment.

Do we have medical staff?

Feel Better ATL provides wellness-based stretching and movement recovery services. We are not a medical facility, but our team includes licensed and certified professionals with extensive experience in physical therapy and movement therapy. If you need healthcare intervention at any point, we will help guide you to an appropriate licensed medical professional to ensure you receive the level of care you need.

Payment Policy

Payment is collected at the time of booking or at the beginning of your appointment. This ensures that your session time is reserved exclusively for you and allows us to provide focused, high-quality care without interruption. We accept multiple forms of payment for your convenience, and receipts can be provided upon request.

All sales are final and non-refundable; however, exchanges can be coordinated when appropriate.

Rescheduling Policy

Feel Better ATL LLC is committed to providing all clients with exceptional care. When a client reschedules without giving enough notice, they prevent another client from being seen.

Please call or text us at 912-527-1669 at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment to notify us of any changes or to reschedule. For Monday appointments, please reach out by Friday.

If proper notification is not given, Feel Better ATL LLC reserves the right to charge 100% of the appointment fee for the missed visit. However, we understand that life can be complex. We will discuss possible compensation options or alternatives when appropriate.

If a Feel Better ATL practitioner needs to reschedule your session, you will be notified the evening prior. In rare cases where same-day adjustments are necessary, you will be contacted that morning and compensation will be discussed as needed.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late to your appointment, we will make every effort to provide a meaningful session within the remaining time. However, your session may need to end at the originally scheduled time to accommodate the next client.

The full session fee will still apply, as your appointment time was reserved exclusively for you.

What is Self-Pay and Out-of-Network Insurance?

Feel Better ATL is a self-pay practice, meaning payment is made directly at the time of service. This allows us to deliver thorough, personalized care without insurance limitations. If you request it, we can provide an itemized receipt (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, though coverage varies and is not guaranteed.

The full session fee will still apply, as your appointment time was reserved exclusively for you.

What should I wear?

Street clothes and work uniforms are perfectly fine for your first visit and any future sessions. However, for maximum comfort and mobility, we recommend flexible clothing such as athletic wear, yoga pants, sweatpants, or shorts. Please avoid restrictive items like jeans or skirts. Most sessions are done barefoot or in grip socks, but stretch-friendly footwear is also acceptable.

For Males:

A comfortable T-shirt that allows free movement works best. Pair it with running shorts that offer a snug, supportive fit and allow proper stretching during your session. Compression shorts are also a great option for support and mobility. Please avoid overly baggy shorts, as they can hinder movement and reduce the effectiveness of your session.

For Females:

Streetwear, work uniforms, or professional attire are all acceptable. For added comfort and modesty, consider a T-shirt paired with a sports bra or supportive bra, along with running shorts or athletic bottoms that allow free movement. Our facility provides towels and cushioning to support comfort and modesty, helping you relax fully throughout your session.

Lotions and Other Skin Products

To maximize the effectiveness of your stretching session, please avoid using lotions or oils within four hours before your appointment. These products can reduce grip and may lessen the effectiveness of certain hands-on techniques. You are welcome to apply lotion afterward. Following this guideline helps ensure you receive the full benefits of your stretch experience.

Does the CEO and other practitioners receive the same wellness care provided to clients?

Yes. We fully believe in the services we offer, which is why our team—including the CEO—regularly receives stretch therapy, mobility work, and other wellness treatments to stay at their best. We value and practice the same level of care that we provide to our clients. I also train with other bodyworkers and movement practitioners to stay current, fresh, and sharp in the application of my skills.
